Discover what happened in March 2026. I built Letters to the Stars, started ParentSignature, launched NotuDocs, and wrote new SignatureAPI guides.

DEVLog - March

March was my busiest month so far this year. I made 1,091 commits across 16 repositories. Two new products started, and one launched.

I wrote this devlog later, from my GitHub history, to fill a gap in the series.

A journal in the sky

I started Letters to the Stars this month, and it took almost 200 commits. It is a journaling app set in a 3D night sky. Every entry you write becomes a star. You can connect stars into constellations and give them names.

Most of the work was about how the app feels. It opens with a short poetic prologue where you pick your language and watch the sky build up. Shooting stars cross the sky and stardust rises from the ground. When you write your first entry, there is a small celebration. A soft kalimba sound plays with each notification. You can even choose how fast the sky moves: calm, lively or rushing.

At the end of the month I added Capacitor. Capacitor wraps a web app so it can run as a native app on phones.

ParentSignature begins

ParentSignature lets teachers collect parent signatures on school forms with a link instead of paper. I created it this month and made 83 commits.

I redesigned the whole site, then did a big SEO pass: metadata, structured data, preview images and a sitemap. I added a blog built on Velite, a tool that turns MDX files into content for the site. I also added Cloudflare Turnstile to the email check. Turnstile tells humans and bots apart without making people solve puzzles.

NotuDocs launch day

NotuDocs launched on March 2. It got 120 commits this month. The app now speaks German, Portuguese, Dutch and Italian. Its preview images for social media are now generated at build time. I also wrote comparison articles in English and Spanish against other tools in the same space.

Better SignatureAPI docs

SignatureAPI had 246 commits from me this month. A lot of that work protects the platform and gives the team better admin tools. That part stays private.

The public side is the documentation. I wrote 10 new how-to guides for the API. I documented the dashboard settings for webhooks, senders and API keys. I also documented the new Store Upload endpoint and PNG support for uploads.

I also started moving the SignatureAPI marketing site from a Framer export to Astro 6. Framer is a visual website builder. Astro gives us full control of the code.

On this blog

I added project pages for ParentSignature and Letters to the Stars. I also published a post about leaving Portugal, and the blog got pagination, tag pages and an RSS feed.

Looking ahead

  • Letters to the Stars: more ways to look back at your sky.
  • ParentSignature: a better offer for schools.
  • NotuDocs: more languages and more content.
  • SignatureAPI: finish the new website.
