DEVLog - September
Welcome back to the logs. September was wild—lots of shipping, lots of coding, and a massive career milestone. Let’s get into it.
”Me” is Live!
I finally shipped “Me”, my new Android app designed to help you track goals and explore new activities.
Think of it as your personal growth companion. Whether you want to run a marathon, learn to knit, or just drink more water, “Me” is there to keep you on track.
It’s simple, it’s clean, and it works. Check it out on the Play Store if you’re on Android (sorry, iOS users, maybe next year).

Introducing Drawmatic
With “Me” out the door, I pivoted to something more technical: Drawmatic.
I needed a powerful HTML5 canvas library for creating diagrams. Existing tools like Excalidraw are amazing, but they are focused on drawing, not modeling. I needed to simulate networks, electricity, queues—things with logic, not just lines.
So, I’m building my own.
The Diagrams Builder
To test Drawmatic, I built a clone of Excalidraw. It’s a stress test to ensure the library plays nice with React and Next.js.
The JSON Viewer
I also built a JSON schematic viewer (inspired by JSON Crack) to test real-time two-way data binding.
I also used this as an excuse to integrate the Monaco Editor (the engine behind VS Code). It was a pain, but totally worth it. Now I have a robust editor component ready for future projects.
Modernizing Medical Software
I’m also working on a clinic management system. The stack is cool: Electron, Vite, and React.
The challenge? The client is used to a Windows 95-era interface (FileMaker). They literally want the new app to look and work like the old one. It’s been a lesson in “design constraints,” to put it mildly.
Professor Andrade
And finally, the biggest news: I am now a college professor.
This has been a life goal of mine. I’m teaching programming to the next generation of devs. It’s exhausting, it’s challenging, and it is incredibly rewarding.
Wrap Up
September was about delivering products and starting new chapters. From shipping apps to teaching students, it feels like I’m leveling up in every direction.
See you in the next one.
